An Inside Look: October

We had a spookily fun Oak-tober! In between painting houses and carving pumpkins, we had many moving pieces this month.

On the Sites:

  • Brainard St: The basement’s poured, the windows and roof are on, and now we’re working through all the mechanicals.
  • 610 Oak Street: Paint and trim are wrapped up, every countertop is in, and we’re heading into trimming out the house.
  • 614 Oak Street: The tile is done and the cabinets are in, so next up is countertop install and paint prep.
  • 506 Carleton: The exterior is done, paint is almost finished, and we’re trimming out the house while electrical and plumbing finish up.
  • 701 Hill: Sewer and water are done and framing is moving fast, with about two weeks to go.
  • 613 Franklin: This one’s crossing the finish line, with closing set for Thursday!
  • 332 Fuller: The basement is being framed right now, and mechanicals and insulation come next.
  • 705 E 3rd: Excavation kicks off next Wednesday, so this one is officially getting started.
  • 417 2nd: Demo starts tomorrow, and we can’t wait to see what this lot becomes.

Our Favorite Build of the Month:

We got to redo a child's bedroom through Special Spaces, an organization that helps kids with cancer get their bedrooms redecorated. We helped bring 8 year old Emma's wizarding bedroom to life. This organization is always our favorite to work with, you can see such a huge impact in real time.

In the Office:

Our team traded hard hats for carving knives this month for a pumpkin carving event, and the results ranged from impressive works of art to some very creative interpretations. Ryan stayed on brand by carving his pumpkin into a house, while Dan showed off some serious skill with a spot-on Sox logo. It was a great excuse to slow down, have some fun together, and celebrate the season with the people who make every Oakley home happen.

October, you were a blast! See you in November!
