There is always so much happening at Oakley Home Builders, sometimes details never make it on our socials or website. So, we'd like to welcome you to An Inside Look, a place were we can dig a little deeper into progress updates, community stories, and notes from our team this month. Let's see what we were up to this month...

A Note From the Team

June is always one of our favorite months, and this year was no exception. Between wrapping up projects, breaking ground on new ones, and squeezing in some summer fun as a team, it's been one of our busiest stretches all year. Here's a look at what we've been up to, on the sites and off.

On the Sites

Two homes crossed the finish line this month: Madison St. and Wakeman Ave. are officially complete, and we couldn't be happier with how they turned out. Both families have already shared positive thoughts post moving in, we wish them the best settling into their dream homes. 

We also wrapped a kitchen and basement remodel on Randall St., giving this client a chance to grow into a new and more personal space. 

Looking ahead, we went in for permits on a new project (details to follow...) and broke ground on Brainard St., so there's plenty more to share as those homes come to life over the coming months.

Off the Sites

Behind the scenes, we've been investing in the tools that help us serve you better. We moved all things internal over to Google Drive, and we're rolling out a new portal for photography and selections to make that part of the process smoother for our clients. We've also been utilizing some new design technology that allows for 3D walkthroughs you can edit in real time, which we're excited to bring into future projects.

And in a smaller but fun update, we joined LinkedIn this month and our following grew faster than we ever expected. If you haven't found us there yet, come say hello @oakleyhomebuilders !

Around the Community

The Oaks neighborhood hit a milestone this month: all seven lots are officially spoken for. We celebrated with a Subcontractor Appreciation event on-site alongside our friends at Hines Lumber Co., and took the opportunity to introduce the new Oaks neighbors to one another. There's something special about watching a neighborhood start to feel like one before the homes are even finished. We heard the new neighbors already made a groupchat...how fun is that?! 

We've also throughly enjoyed some fun Fridays! Early June we went to a Cubs game with our friends at Pella and EOC. Later in the month, we had the chance to attend the Rotary Fest, which we helped sponsor, and had a blast listening to some live music as a team. 

From Our Team

A few personal highlights from the crew this month: Dan Ignash and Jack coached/played a whole bunch of baseball, Elizabeth moved to Downers Grove, and Nicy started her master's program. We also celebrated the birthdays of Dan, Ryan, Nicy, Elizabeth, and Julie. Finally, we're thrilled to have our summer crew back in house, including Caroline and Mason.
