It's project kickoff time! We're diving into another Glen Ellyn custom build and are excited to share the details with you today. 

INTRODUCING LOWELL AVE

When this Glen Ellyn family approached us about designing them a home in the town they already lived in and loved, we quickly got on board with their vision for their next home. Using inspiration that they shared with us as a springboard, we set about to design them a home that was both inviting and distinctive, and delivered a floorplan that was perfect for their family. Already living in a home gave this family the opportunity to see how they used space, and armed them with focus for how square footage in their new home could be used more efficiently.

Cottage charm gets an elegant overhaul with this new 5 BR home. This home's aesthetic is inspired by the English arts and craft movement - a design style deeply rooted in traditional craftsmanship that used simple forms in decor. The home's exterior blends materials such as stucco, metal, board and batten and timber in a warm, fresh way. Accents like the curved entryway and front dormer window dial up curb appeal from the first view. 

Inside, the homeowners passed on a formal dining room in favor of shifting square footage to the open kitchen/living room area. Upstairs, each of the bedrooms gets its own bathroom. But the master suite still stands out for its souped up his-and-hers closets and luxury bed/bath with just the right amount of space. Outside a back patio off of the family room, can also be accessed from the mudroom. This home is a great example of how a house can still make a big impact without needing a huge footprint. We can't wait to share the final home with you!
