We have had a busy November at Oakley finishing up a few new construction homes. With the holidays upon us, it always feels like an especially exciting time of year to hand over the set of keys to the families that will be moving in. This latest custom home project is featured below. These clients were already residents of Stonewall Ave in northwest Downers Grove and loved the roots that they had established in this beautiful part of town. When an opportunity to purchase a lot to build on came up - they jumped at the chance. They approached us about their custom home after having multiple friends and neighbors build with us - so they were practically already part of the Oakley family! 

The homeowners had a vision for a craftsman inspired home that was filled with mixed materials and warm, inviting colors and finishes. This family home features an open layout and plenty of natural wood tones mixed in from the reclaimed wood beams in the family room and master to the stained cedar feature wall in the office. The rustic touches are balanced with the sophistication of light wood flooring and dramatic carrara marble tile in the kitchen and master bath.
