Take a drive down the beloved tree-lined streets of River Forest and we can bet it won’t take long for you to notice the famed architecture that characterizes this stunning suburb. Conveniently placed just a short drive or train ride from the city, this architectural haven features a range of design styles with Prairie style homes sitting beside Victorians and Tudors, each brimming with their own historical charm.

Our clients had roots in River Forest and understood its unique architectural significance. They endeavored to design a new home with a style that suggests it had been there for much longer - a challenge we were thrilled to take on. Once they found an oversized vacant lot just a few blocks down from a previous build, we set out to design a custom home that would reflect the established style they were hoping for.

INTRODUCING FRANKLIN AVENUE

There’s a little bit of magic that comes along with exterior design. We’re always creating something new, but in this case we can’t help but marvel at how this home just feels like it’s been sitting on Franklin Avenue all along. Material selections were carefully curated and the weathered brick exterior and DaVinci composite slate roof deliver on the traditional style our clients had been dreaming of. The pitched rooflines and lovely arched entry channel classic Tudor style while elevating curb appeal.
