INTRODUCING PARK AVENUE
Looking to trade city life for the suburbs, these clients were lucky to find an expansive corner lot on a picturesque tree-lined street in Southeast Hinsdale. Just a few blocks from Oak Elementary, this charming area of town feels quiet and private but is still easily walkable to restaurants and shopping in Downtown Hinsdale.
In our initial meetings, these clients shared a ton of gorgeous inspiration images so we knew from the beginning that the exterior design of their home was going to be a special focus. We worked to create a transitional designed home that feels both timeless and elegant. We love seeing clients choose a twist on a traditional brick exterior, and this lime-washed finish adds to the home’s sophisticated aesthetic. Stately stone elements elevate the exterior even further, framing the oversized windows and accenting the inviting entry.
The interior of this 5 BR home will be filled with stunning finishes fitting of this level of design. It was important for us to create a floorplan which would blend formal rooms for entertaining with more casual spaces, and we think this home reflects a perfect balance of the two. A sun-filled two-story stairway foyer is flanked by a formal sitting room, dining room and study. The heart of the first floor is a sprawling family room, kitchen, and breakfast nook area. Indoor/outdoor living was a priority, and the family room features easy access to a thoughtfully-designed covered patio area complete with a cozy fireplace and outdoor kitchen.
This home was designed for four seasons living, and for us in the Midwest that especially means a basement that can keep us busy when the weather turns cold. This basement delivers on that ask with activities galore. Shoot hoops on the sport court, get in a few reps in the gym, or practice your swing on the sunken golf simulator (plus viewing area). There’s even a spacious rec room and full bar area to relax afterwards.
